For 25 years, Redfish Lodge stood as the premier fishing destination on the Texas Gulf Coast, welcoming anglers to its picturesque mile-long peninsula in Rockport-Fulton. This cherished legacy was interrupted on August 25, 2017, when Hurricane Harvey devastated the property.

We are excited to announce our first phase, The Ruddy Lodge, is now open and booking groups of up to 12 guests. This beautifully updated waterfront retreat offers well-appointed rooms, an expansive deck with breathtaking bay views, a heated pool, and a spacious hot tub.

Our mission extends beyond restoration—we’re committed to the Rockport-Fulton community, providing opportunities for our staff, and delivering the unforgettable experiences that made Redfish Lodge legendary: world-class fishing, first-class service, breathtaking sunsets, and the creation of lifelong memories. Plans for recreating the main lodge are already underway, promising an even brighter future for this iconic Texas coastal destination.

I joined a group for a corporate outing, as my first trip to Redfish. We stayed at the Ruddy House and it was amazing. The moment you arrive we were greeted by James, a very friendly and comical individual. The decor and house are impeccable. The private chefs, the lodge employees, are nothing short of spectacular. The food offered was absolutely delicious and I can say you will not go hungry. The fishing was spectacular as well. I would highly recommend this as either a corporate or family getaway location

It is a beautiful house with all the amenities and fishing just outside your door. Gorgeous sunsets on the water and peaceful privacy. Frequently asked questions.

The construction phase for the main lodge is expected to be completed in the future.  The first phase, the Ruddy Lodge ,opened March 1, 2025 and has a capacity for groups up to 12 guests.

The future Redfish Lodge will accommodate 60 guests in the main lodge and Ruddy Lodge, the main lodge will be completed in the future.  The Ruddy Lodge alone sleeps 12. Future plans may include additional lodging capacity.

Fishing, sight-seeing, swimming, our firepit, and outdoor lounge area are just some of the many activities our guests will enjoy at the Redfish Lodge.

Homestyle breakfasts, lunches, gourmet dinners.  You won’t go home hungry!

Please alert the staff of any dietary restrictions or food/drink allergies.  You will receive an email before you arrive requesting this information.

The typical fishing day begins at sunrise and lasts approximately 6 hours.

Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, and Flounder are our most commonly caught species.  During any given season you may catch up to 30 species of fish in our waters.

Please consider how much you will consume, you are welcome to take your catch home, within the legal limit.

Seasonal clothing and sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, and fishing license.  We provide everything else you need for a day on the water.

The property is located directly on the water, guests can fish from the Ruddy Lodge docks (they are equipped with fishing lights).
